Just got my gold floyd special installed to replace the black FRT2000 that came stock on a charvel san dimas,i am doing a retro mod to this charvel and needed gold to go with the rest of the parts. The OFR is $189 and i could have went with one of those but right now money is a issue and i have read great tings about this special for $80!$100 cheaper!!!!These are the SAME thing as the real floyds except the saddles and block are zinc not steel. There is not much more to say other than that honestly, the special does not go out of tune,does not sound/look any different and all parts are exactly the same dimensions/size as the OFR, so i feel i made the right choice. I also always install a brass big block on all my floyds from floyd upgrades. so only the saddles on my special are zinc now. making this a amazing trem for a total of $100 with brass block upgrade.
