They really protect my hands and even my arms up to my elbows from thorn scratches. I needed the length to protect my arms from getting scratched while pruning. These gloves are a good value and I’m pleased with the quality.I bought these specifically for working with my very thorny blackberries. They work great against the thorns. The fingers are a little big.Trimming orange tree with thorns ! Great protection for arms.I got these gloves for pulling blackberry vines without getting scratch…work great, super durable, no complaints.Wish the arm cover is a bit longer, but still goodBought gloves for wife and she is happy. What more is there?Not only are these gloves durable (I use them 4x weekly, 3 hrs. per use), but I’m now scratch-free after using them to work on 20 rose bushes. Also gone are the severe rashes that used to develop on both forearms from the roses. I’m definitely getting another pair for when these finally eat the dust, although I have a feeling that will be quite a while.I had to pull down a lot of ivy from the side of my house. These, and a bar of poison ivy soap also from Amazon, helped me to not be affected at all. Never been the case for me. I’ve used and washed these now many times and they have held up.
