Growing up in the 80's one gets exposed to the author's work. Such classic characters and stories. I remember a little bit of the miniseries but I had never read the book. Being a big fan of Jack Carr, and apparently having similar tastes, he had mentioned in a podcast what a fan of the author he was and how great this series was. Based on that, I picked up the series and right now I am angry that I waited so long to read it. This book is phenomenal. A little dated in some aspects, but a rollercoaster of emotions and actions. Very well written and kept you guessing until the end. Could very easily be developed into a movie or series today. Highly recommend this book. Can't wait to get into the next story.
