I use this rolling pin with strips to make thin, precise. even thickness sugar cookies. It is longer than most rollers so I can work with large projects. I love that the dough does not stick. One draw back is the material that it is made of is very brittle if dropped and breaks easily. My mistake, though.I had to immediately send back for a replacement, as it was missing BOTH rubber endcaps, although otherwise it seemed new and undamaged (same for the packaging & mailing box. It was a perfect size and weight, felt good in my hands rolling on a surface. I'll look forward to it's replacement and will review it after use. By the way, it came in a box that was about 6" square and twice as long (maybe more) than the roller. This is a very nice rolling pin and is nice and long. It's the length of the wooden pins but is lighter, which is great for arthritic hands. End caps can be removed and you can store rolling gauge strips inside.Works great. It's not as pretty as my traditional wooden pin (it was made from fancy maple), but it works great with All of my doughs stuck to this rolling pin as much as my older wooden one. I liked it though because the rolling pin was the same width all the way across. Along with the dough thickness rails I could get a consistent thickness to my cookies.I was really excited to receive my rolling pin and noticed it's missing an end cap. So now I have to go to the trouble of sending it back for a replacement with no guarantee that the knew one will have a rubber cap. I guess there is no way to just receive a rubber cap? Since I haven't used it and have no idea if I will like it, I'm giving it a one star. I guess nothing is inspected before it is shipped out.NiceI like the even thickness and the option to fill it with ice water. But it’s not completely nonstick with sticky dough.
