I have an old stone house with very wide pine wood floor boards (18"-24" wide, 20' long, mabe an inch thick) on heavy hand hewn beams (oak? pine? got me). Many things need fixed on these floors, notably the original hand cut wrought iron (?) nails very occasionally come loose and pop out -- one can bang them back in, but the original nails give it up after about 200 years or so. These Rose Head 3" cut-style nails are great because they are designed to look and hold like the originals but are blackened steel rather than wright iron. Much less brittle, go right in thru the original nail holes in the boards and into the beams. Holds like a champ, look perfect, no snapping or bending.Note that these are NOT masonry nails. Masonry nails, to my bitter bitter disappointment, are similar but not the same, with wee rectangular heads not at all suited to holding in the original holes in the floor boards.Anyhow, yeah, great product. Thanks.
